THE EDUCATIVE SYSTEM

Existing since independence and regularly reinforced through government efforts, the education system integrates the objectives, strategic procedures, standards and programs necessary for the unity of an education system both within and without academic circles. The system is adjusted following the fundamentals governing education.

  1. Training cycles, academic levels and education exigencies take into account the general and solid training of the individual for employment.

  2. Integration criteria interrelate common-core syllabuses with specialized modules.

  3. Interrelation is a method, which enables the general education and level-specific recycling of the individual for job opportunities and social rehabilitation.

  4. The contents of syllabuses and teaching methods at all educational levels take into account the student’s psychological development.

  5. A system was instituted whereby students are reevaluated periodically to bring out the imperfections of the education system and adapt the syllabuses to the new developments in education and employment exigencies.

  6. Academic and professional orientation should be a continuous process at all levels of education so students can easily acquire training reflexes and national consciousness, necessary for their personal growth in the professional milieu.

The academic calendar is the same for all schools throughout the country; a strict regulation determines the hours and other relevant modalities.

The education system comprises cycles and certificates.

  1. The levels of education are : preschool, primary, secondary and higher education.

  1. Certificates are the Baccalaureate and higher education diplomas.
