The situation of the banking system

 

Banking activity remained stable in Equatorial Guinea all through 1997. loans awarded by two of the banks present in the country rose to 6.2 Mds, from 8.3 to 14.5 Mds, while deposits increased from 10.4 to 14.3M. And banks witnessed a surplus cash balance of 1.85Mds.
